This footage shows you a clear view of a Split-Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) test, which is a common method to test the dynamic stress-strain response of materials. Using our lasers to eliminate any motion blur due to the ultra-high-speed of the test process, scientists and researchers can easily identify the properties of the material one frame at a time.

In this footage, you get to see the tiny particles breaking away from the material, the small cracks forming, and are able to identify the most important places in the material that need attention.
