The River Ribble at Preston Flooded during Storm Ciara in February 2020.
The level of the river near Avenham Park and Miller Park was much higher than normal. The river was flowing fast and contained a lot of debris.
Moving downstream, the Old Penwortham Bridge (built circa 1759) that crosses the River Ribble to Broadgate was holding up under the strain.
I moved further West, towards Preston Docks, passing the new road bridge.
On returning to Avenham Park later in the afternoon, the level of the river has risen.
I crossed to the South of the River Ribble to view from the Old Tram Road Bridge.
I'd set off for a walk when the skies cleared up in our local area mid Sunday afternoon on February 9th 2020. I hadn't planned to do any filming, so the quality of the footage isn't great.
The video clips we filmed on my old Android smartphone, so the wind noise is a problem, sorry.
