Different MacBook keyboards have different mechanisms, so before forcing the removal of a key, make sure you know what you are doing to avoid damaging it further. That's why replacement sets for the same model on Aliexpress are different.
Sometimes parts are fine, but there are may be some particles underneath the key that prevent it key from working correctly. It would be good to take out the key and just clean up the mechanism.
