Crown Melbourne’s Riverwalk flame towers have received an unexpected make-over – transforming into fire-breathing dragons thanks to the work of some of Australia’s greatest street artists to celebrate Lunar New Year. Taking residence on the Riverwalk, five local artists painted bespoke dragon head designs on each fire tower to create a real-life fire breathing dragon show and a live art installation for the public. Acclaimed street artists Mike Makatron, Facter, Mulga, Conrad Bizjak and Ruskidd were commissioned to create the artworks which pay homage to one of the most iconic symbols in Asian culture – the dragon.
The fire breathing dragons and the modern exhibition will be on show until the 27th February, breathing fire every half hour from 8pm each night!
