How to Make a Painted Palette Knife Cake

If you haven’t tried this technique, you absolutely have to give it a go. These raised “petals” of buttercream add so much dimension to your cakes, and if you position them in just the right way, you can even have them resemble actual flowers. For this cake design though, I was happy with just the random petal look. I also need to practice a little more if I want to make actual flowers with this haha! But gosh, just take notice of your breathing as you do this. It really slows it down and zens you out. Very therapeutic!
