On June 19th, the Xiaoshimen Yangtze River Water Intake Project in Chongqing achieved a major milestone — the successful breakthrough of 2200mm rock pipe jacking tunnels into the Yangtze River!
This pipe jacking construction used Tangxing Technology’s 1800 mm rock pipe jacking machine, with a jacking distance of 192.5 meters. The intake pump shaft is a circular caisson structure with an excavation diameter of 32.8 meters and a depth of approximately 85 meters — equivalent to the height of a 28-story building. Such a large-scale and deep shaft is extremely rare in similar projects across China.
