U.S. ski legend Lindsey Vonn was taken to hospital for precautionary checks after crashing during the final women’s World Cup downhill before the Milano Cortina Olympics. The 41-year-old, who leads the downhill standings and is preparing for an Olympic comeback, lost balance in worsening snowy conditions and slammed into the side netting, triggering her airbag. Vonn was able to stand and ski afterward but appeared in pain, clutching her left knee, prompting doctors to order further checks.
