Описание:
A trapped air pocket in an underwater cave forms when air or gas becomes sealed within a section of the cave above the waterline, often due to geological formations, changes in water level, or even biological processes. In some cases, these pockets can be partly created by gases released during the decomposition of organic matter trapped in the cave, such as plants, animals, or algae. As microbes break down this material, they can release gases like methane or carbon dioxide, which accumulate in the upper sections of the cave. If the cave structure prevents these gases from escaping to the surface, a bubble forms. While such pockets might appear to offer breathable air, decomposition gases can displace oxygen and create a toxic or flammable atmosphere, making them far more dangerous than they seem.
