I have been using Lycamobile for the past 5 months in Lille, and I’ve also used it in Paris and while travelling to Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.
It offers 200GB data for 7.99€, along with local and international calling, which makes it very popular among students.

However, one thing to note is that the mobile data can sometimes stop working, even when the payment is done. Because of this, Lyca is best suited for students who are budget-conscious and can adjust during occasional network issues.

Lyca is no-contract, very easy to get through their website, and can be paid monthly using a bank card. Activation is simple and beginner-friendly.

🔹 Free Mobile (Free SIM) – Highly recommended

Free Mobile is slightly more expensive compared to Lyca, but it offers much better reliability and connectivity within France.
Unlike Lyca, Free SIM does not face frequent data issues, which makes it a very solid option for students who want stable internet for daily use, online classes, and navigation.

If reliability is your top priority, Free Mobile is the safest choice.

🔹 Syma Mobile

Syma Mobile is the cheapest option among the three. It is decent and usable, but the performance is generally okayish.
It is suitable for students who want the lowest cost and have basic usage needs.
