With the successful installation of the Swap Helper unit called "Tach Helper" (Swaphelper.com), Pop finds himself looking at the last stages of his project. In this video, he takes the technology of sychronizing the Camshaft Position Sensor and Crankshaft Position Sensor to "fool" the ECM into believing that the old 6.4 is still installed.
Once the computer deception is done, many things clear up... namely dash lights! The Alternator light will go out as well as Check Engine light. This also synchs up the air conditioner so it operates as well. So many dynamics whic are computer-controlled with the 2008 F350, are rooted in the tachometer.
Pop was quite concerned about getting the alternator operating properly before going out for a test drive. One of the facts that Swaphelper.com DOES NOT ADVERTISE, is that the swap helper/tach helper takes care of these problems for the most part. For this build, it took care of ALL the problems.
It truly made Pop smile... big time!
