This area is known as the “Cline Creek Ruins” located near New River, Arizona.
I took a route that isn’t as popular at the Cline Creek ruins site hike.
After a 3-mile hike on a very rocky but level ATV road, (and somewhat boring) I reached the base of the hill that led up to a nice petroglyph field. There were lots of them scattered around.
If you want to continue, you can hike up a very steep and rocky trail that will lead to the ruins. After hiking for over 3 miles and up the steep hill and having to hike back, hiking to the ruins was too much for this old man. Next time I’ll skip this trail and hike directly to the ruins where I’ll find petroglyphs and ruins.
