The Beijing Minsheng Art exhibition, entitled "The Trace of Civilization—The Great Art of Dunhuang," features over 280 pieces of art, including cultural relics, copy paintings and modern and contemporary works. Each item showcases the vitality, diversity and inclusiveness of Dunhuang Art. Dunhuang, situated at the heart of the Silk Road in modern-day Gansu Province, has been a hub for the convergence and blending of diverse cultures since the Han dynasty (206BC-220AD). These exhibits are a testament to the understanding of Dunhuang art by several generations of researchers and accurately capture the charm of Dunhuang art.
