If your Samsung Galaxy Tab's camera is not working, follow these troubleshooting steps to fix it:
1. Restart Your Tablet
Press and hold the Power button - Tap Restart.
If that doesn't work, try force restarting:
Press and hold Power + Volume Down for about 10-15 seconds.
2. Check for Software Glitches
Open the Camera app. If it shows an error, take a screenshot and note the message.
Try a different camera app (like Google Camera or Snapchat) to see if the issue is with Samsung's camera app.
If the screen is black, tap the screen or switch between front/rear cameras.
3. Clear Camera App Cache and Data
Go to Settings - Apps.
Scroll down and select Camera.
Tap Storage - Clear Cache.
If that doesn’t work, tap Clear Data (this will reset camera settings).
4. Check App Permissions
Go to Settings - Apps.
Find Camera and tap it.
Select Permissions and make sure Camera, Microphone, and Storage are allowed.
5. Boot into Safe Mode
Press and hold Power - Tap and hold "Power Off" - Select "Safe Mode".
Open the Camera app in Safe Mode.
If it works, a third-party app may be causing the issue. Uninstall any recent apps related to the camera.
6. Update Software
Go to Settings - Software Update and check for updates.
7. Reset All Settings (If Needed)
Go to Settings - General Management.
Tap Reset - Reset all settings.
Restart your tablet and check the camera.
8. Factory Reset (Last Resort)
Backup your data first!
Go to Settings - General Management - Reset - Factory Data Reset.
Confirm and wait for the tablet to restart.
9. Check for Hardware Issues
If your camera lens is physically damaged, blurry, or showing a "Camera Failed" error, there might be a hardware issue.
