In this episode we start rebuilding the chassis of our Mazda MX-5.
What began as a simple inspection quickly revealed some serious rust issues in the chassis rails and sills. With the car up on the lift we dive into repairing the damage, cutting out the worst of the corrosion and preparing the structure so it can be properly rebuilt.
Rust is one of the biggest problems these cars face, and fixing it properly means tackling the chassis legs and floor sections head-on.
