Our baby boy Neo was born Deaf. He was born with severe to profound hearing loss in both ears. We tried using hearing aids but they were not working on him so we decided to get bilateral cochlear implant surgery. Now that he got his cochlear implants activated it is a long process to get his hearing up to a normal level. The doctors say he will be able to hear at a very good level in 4 weeks. Today is the first day we are turning his volume up a little bit because they start Neo at a very low hearing level so its not too much for him.
