Описание: Retro Bob here! Back in the building with another hidden gem of an album! Since y'all really loved my upload of Rio Vista by The Brew, I thought I would showcase another talented smooth jazz/fusion artist hailing from Austin. In fact, I discovered this guitarist on the very same compilation CD where I first heard Latin Cruise. For a little background, Mitch Watkins grew up in McAllen, Texas, where he began playing guitar at age 13. Playing in multiple bands throughout his career, Watkins has explored many stylistic pathways for nearly 60 years, most prominently when he performed and recorded with Leonard Cohen on his 2012-2013 world tour. He was a guitarist for Lyle Lovett and His Large Band until 2012, and he's performed and recorded with Joe Ely, Jennifer Warnes, Jerry Jeff Walker, Paul Glasse, and many others. Watkins has produced CDs with Bob Schneider, Abra Moore, among others, while having five CDs to his own credit, including this one.
