Another chapter about the great and still highly underrated Campania region, this time we talk about the top red made from Aglianico grape, probably the first red which was drunk in Roman times!
Even Taurasi, which is considered rightly so the best red in South Italy, is still relatively unknown to most, even many Italians never tried it yet!
Tasted wines are 2 of main addresses in Irpinia region where the appellation is located, fortunately we found back vintages well aged:
