As the night drew near its most intimate moments, this song ushered the room into sacred stillness. It became a call to surrender. A place where burdens were laid down and hearts were opened before God. With every lyric, worshipers were reminded that the altar isn’t just a place of sacrifice, but a meeting place with grace. Tears flowed, hands lifted, and voices whispered prayers of renewal and trust.

In the Hebrew language, Halal means to "Celebrate extravagantly."
Root of the word “hallelujah” which means “praise (halla) to jah (God)”. Expresses joy, jubilation and celebration. To shine, to flash forth light, to boast. This is a word picture designed for us to imagine just how magnificent and brilliantly bright God is. Worthy of being boasted about. One of the meanings also references acting wildly like a madman! That’s how awesome (inspiring, terrific, EXTRAORDINARY) our God is. To see this level of glory and magnificence elicits an extraordinary response.

Hundreds of Christ followers convened at Younger Generation Church, August 30, 2025, for the inaugural evening of HALAL: The Praise Continues. Envisioned by Dr. Kisha Norris, one of the founding worship leaders of @ygchurch, Halal was an unforgettable evening filled with vibrant praise and authentic worship.
