This is a video on how, where, and when to harvest Porcini or The King Bolete(B.edulis). These videos are intended to assist both new foragers and experienced foragers alike. Sorry about the audio, but it covers pretty much all the information you need, to take advantage of the short window of opportunity for finding King Boletes around the Great Lakes region. I hope you all have success finding this wonderful mushroom, it is the favourite gourmet mushroom of many many people, especially Europeans. They are called the King because they are the most dense bolete, best tasting, and one of the highest yielding. Finding a score of Porcini is one of the most rewarding feelings a mushroom forager can attain. I hope you find it informative and stay tuned for my next 100 episodes
