Introduction to Rockcrawling l Harry Situations

Описание: Rockrawling is exploding in popularity with record sales of Jeep Wranglers and the new Ford Bronco. These vehicles are available from the factory with locking differentials, low gearing, and disconnecting sway bars that make them incredibly capable on the trail. Often though, the limiting factor is the driver.
Those who have not taken part in this activity often mistakenly think that it is easy or boring due to the slow speeds, but nothing could be further from the truth. This is an extremely fun pastime for the entire family and friends. In fact, we love to introduce our friends to rockcrawling, like we did here with Rashad Frazier of Camp Yoshi. There is no substitute for seat time, but Rashad shared some of his tips help jumpstart your rockcrawling prowess.

Things to remember when rockcrawling:
• Err on the side of going too slow.
• Air your tires down to half the pressure you run on the street.
• Know where your differentials are located.
• Use a spotter to assist you with things you cannot see.
• Know when to use features like selectable lockers versus traction control.

Things to avoid when rockcrawling:
• Using too much throttle and momentum.
• Getting tunnel vision rather than looking ahead.
• Going alone.
• Letting your ego or your temper get the best of you.
• Being unprepared when you get stuck.
