Lyrics:

[Lyria 3:]

Doug Engelbart in sixty-four
Built something never known before:
A wooden box that rolled around,
The mighty mouse had just been found.
Just click your mouse and watch the magic rise.

[Suno 5:]

Doug Engelbart in sixty-four
Built something never known before:
A wooden box that rolled around,
The mighty mouse had just been found.

Windows, icons, menus, pointer blend,
A powerful synergy from start to end.
No more cold commands to memorize,
Just click your mouse and watch the magic rise.

[Lyria 3, rewritten lyrics A:]

Well, Doug Engelbart had a brand new kind of notion,
Put the whole wide world of data into motion.
He gave us a little something that you hold right in your hand,
A pointy clicky gizmo that’s the best thing in the land.

It’s a GUI-rocking, mouse-clicking boom,
Clearing out the cobwebs and the gloom.
Oh, a GUI-rocking, mouse-clicking boom,
Going shake the whole world with a new, new sound.

[Lyria 3:, rewritten lyrics B]

Well, the screen was black and the code was mean,
The toughest interface you’ve ever seen.
Then along came a man with a clever plan,
Put a pointing device right in your hand.

He said, “forget those commands and all that text,
This graphical world is coming up next.”
Just a click, click, click on the icon!
Yeah, click, click, click, and the lights came on.
