The Priestly Blessing or Priestly benediction which is known in Rabbinic literature as raising of the hands or raising to the platform is a Hebrew prayer recited by the Priests or Kohanim. The Priests who are descendants of Aaron.
The Priestly Blessing is found in the Book of Numbers 6:23-27
According to Torah, God's desire that the blessing should be symbolized by the Priest's hands.
