In his remembrance, the Educational Wing of T-Series has introduced the most prestigious GULSHAN KUMAR AWARD OF EXCELLENCE for the Veteran Personalities who have made a mark in their respective fields and GULSHAN KUMAR YOUNG ACHIEVERS AWARD for the worthy stars of different domains.

On the 29th of June 2019 Saturday, T-Series Educational Wing successfully organized an event to celebrate “The Legacy of Shree Gulshan Kumar” at Laxmi Studio, Film City, Noida. On this special occasion, the Director of T-Series Madam Sudesh Dua and Director of T-Series Educational Wing Mr. Hitesh Ralhan announced this prestigious award.

The event was started with the Saraswati Bandana followed by live performances by the associate dean of T-Series StageWorks Academy Mr. Sanjay Vidyarthi, renowned singing mentor Mr. Kshitij Mathur, students of T-Series StageWorks Academy and some of the young singing personalities. Madam Sudesh Dua Ji, Mr. Hitesh Ralhan, Chief Guest Mr. Ashutosh (Renowned TV Journalist and Politician) and Vice President of T-Series Educational Wing Dr. Deepti Trivedi opened the event with the lighting of the lamp. Moving the program forward the Acting students of Gulshan Kumar Film & Television Institute of India presented a play based on Gulshan Ji’s life directed by GKFTII acting trainer Ms. Ashima Khanna which was one of the most attractive performances of that evening.

On this special occasion, the Dean of GKFTII Prof. Kalyan Sarkar and Associate Dean Prof. Mansoor Naqvi graced the event with their presence. Prof. Sarkar and Prof. Naqvi along with entire GKFTII Team brought an emotional moment by presenting a memento in the form of a painting of Gulshan Kumar Ji to the Gulshan Ji’s family.

Gulshan Kumar award was given in two categories; one was the Award of Excellence which was given to the very famous Devotional Singer Mr. Narendra Chanchal, Bollywood Singer Mr. Shakar Sahni, Indian Super Model Nayanika Chatterjee, Bollywood Actor Sukhmani Lamba and renowned TV Journalist and Anchor Mr. Akhilesh Anand.

The second category of this prestigious the award was the Young Achievers Award which given to The Voice of India Fame Ms. Nidhi Kohli, Rising Star 2018 Fame Akhtar Brothers, The Voice Fame Mr. Adnaan Ahmed, The Voice of India 2019 fame and student of T-Series StageWorks Academy Mr. Sai Shastri Bisoyi, and last of not least Student of T-Series StageWorks Academy and Rising Star 2019 fame Mr. Diwakar Sharma. All the awardees have given live performances and compelled the audiences to dance with them.

Apart from Gulshan Kumar Award of Excellence and Gulshan Kumar Young Achievers Award, The Educational Wing of T-Series has given away the Award of Appreciation to the famous devotional singer of his era Kumar Vishu, T-Series StageWorks Student, and winners of many singing competition like Radio city super singer Ms. Tanishka Bahl and renowned devotional singer Mr. Tarun Sagar.

During the celebration many blustery personalities of their fields were presented, Mr. Ajith Anjum (Sr. Journalist & Columnist), Ms. Sonia Jetleey (Renowned Fashion Designer), Pt. Deepak Chatterjee (Sr. Classical Musician), Amir Zakir (renowned Fashion Stylist and columnist) and Mr. Manish Tripathi (famous Fashion designers) was the special guests of the event. The presences of these personalities have created a positive aura in the premises and became one of the important factors behind the super the success of the event.
