About this video: All filmed between September 15 and September 30, 2025 during the 1030’s first two weeks of revenue service on the Newburyport/Rockport Line in its new heritage paint scheme honoring the Boston & Maine Railroad. The video starts with the 1030’s very first revenue run after being painted into the scheme, which took place on Beverly round trip 1147/1150 on September 15. The 1030 was put on a special set with two Operation Lifesaver wrapped coaches for a press event earlier in the day at North Station. Later that day, the 1030 made a return to the line on Newburyport train 159 which puts away in the Newburyport facility for the night after arrival. I spent the next two weeks getting shots of the 1030 whenever I had time at various locations along both the Newburyport and Rockport sides of the line. The press debut set didn’t last much past the 1030’s first day running, and it is seen on several different regular consists throughout the rest of the video. After the first shots in Beverly, Rowley, and Newburyport, the clips that follow were filmed in Rockport, Beverly, Hamilton, and Ipswich.
