Описание: Favia corals, often called “brain corals” due to their ridged, brain-like appearance, are popular in reef aquariums. They belong to the family Faviidae and are hardy, making them suitable for beginner to intermediate reef hobbyists. Favia corals thrive under moderate lighting and water flow and require stable water parameters, including calcium and alkalinity, to grow well. They are generally non-aggressive but have long sweeper tentacles that can sting nearby corals at night. Feeding Favia corals with plankton or coral-specific foods can enhance their growth and coloration, though they can also survive primarily on photosynthesis through their symbiotic zooxanthellae.
