These are the words Jake, one of Emmanuel City Mission’s regular visitors, shared with Director Roby Curtis before they spent a night sleeping rough together on the streets of Brisbane.
Nothin’ Man is a raw, honest and confronting look at life after dark when there’s nowhere safe to go. From finding a meal to searching for shelter, this documentary reveals the fear, isolation and exhaustion of street life and the deep need for something better.
At Emmanuel City Mission, we’re working to open Night Sanctuary, a safe, warm place for people to rest, one night a week to start.
