The results from a steady state turbulent CFD analysis are used to drive a Lagrangian uncoupled discrete element simulation of droplet flow in a finger-type slug catcher. The droplets are injected with a normal distribution of size with an expectation of 150 nm and a variance of 1.
The larger droplets settle in the bottle header and the primary bottles. Only the smallest droplets go through the gas riser.
