Each year, we go on a fellas mountain biking trip for 4 to 5 days. This was the first ride of our 2012 trip to Crested Butte/Gunnison/Salida, Colorado: the epic Monarch Crest Trail. We started in the morning with threatening weather. Fortunately, we got well below tree line before it started raining, but still rode about 17 mi in the rain. We definitely want to give it another go with fingers crossed for clear skies the entire way. Highly recommended for those who enjoy great XC trails with fantastic views.
This is Part 3 of 4 videos showing a good sampling of the 35 mi Monarch Crest shuttle ride.
The end of this video shows the transition to Part 4.
I edited with a lot of fast forward to show as much of the trail as possible without being too boring.
