In this video I share a walk down memory lane showing how Extendabone evolved through years of prototyping and design changes. This is not the full origin story of why I invented it, but rather the how.

I am Nikki Abissi, the inventor of Extendabone.

I show early 3D printed prototypes, versions that never made it to production, the problem solving behind the final shape, and the most recent update to our injection mold. This process involved a lot of trial and error, learning as I went, and refining the design until it did exactly what it needed to do for real playing.

I also talk about the influence of the pBone and how mentorship from another instrument inventor shaped how I approached bringing an idea into the real world. Seeing someone else do it made the process feel possible.
