The bail application of the alleged scammer Louis Liebenberg has been postponed to Thursday pending a psychiatric assessment. Liebenberg appeared briefly at Bronkhorstspruit Magistrate's Court. Liebenberg, his wife Desiree and seven others face multiple charges including fraud, racketeering and theft. It's alleged the group lured victims into a diamond investment scam which accumulated approximately over four billion rand. Liebenberg says his constitutional rights have been violated from the day he was arrested.
