A paramo is a high treeless plateau, it is found in tropical South America. Colombia has the largest expanse of paramos in the world. They work as water pumps and are part of the cycle of the flying rivers phenomenon. At least 15% of paramos in Colombia have been devastated which impacted lethally the ecosystem. This is the story of a lagoon in Colombia that was left without paramo and water. This the link to the second chapter of the Ríos Voladores series.
