BODYCAM VIDEO | Avon Lake police arrest church director wanted for rape, sexual battery

Описание: 3News has learned that Andres Andino, a 59-year-old Director of Worship at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Parma Heights, has been charged with sex crimes involving a minor.

In addition, he also works part-time at St. Joseph Parish in Avon Lake.

According to Cuyahoga County court records, Andino, a Cleveland resident, was charged with the following:

Sexual battery (two counts)
Unlawful sexual conduct with a minor (two counts)
Rape
Avon Lake police told 3News that on Sunday, a FLOCK camera flagged Andino's vehicle as linked to an outstanding warrant from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office. He was arrested without incident and taken to the Lorain County Jail.

During an arraignment hearing on Wednesday, March 19, Andino pleaded not guilty. A bond of $50,000 was set, which has since been posted. In addition, he was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim(s).

According to an indictment, the alleged offenses happened from Feb. 25, 2013, through Feb. 24, 2018.

According to officials, Andino has been placed on administrative leave at both parishes.
