With President Donald Trump back in the White House and Chancellor Friedrich Merz leading Germany, both countries are navigating a rapidly changing global landscape shaped by geopolitical uncertainty, shifting alliances, and growing public debate about international responsibility. As Washington and Berlin reassess their roles on the world stage, public opinion matters more than ever.
On January 27, the ACG held a virtual event exploring the latest findings from The Berlin Pulse 2025/26, the annual foreign policy survey published by the Körber-Stiftung and the Pew Research Center. We were joined by Jonathan Lehrer, Program Manager for International Affairs at the Körber-Stiftung, and Jacob Poushter, Associate Director at the Pew Research Center.
