A simple hack to building big legs is to go heavy on single leg exercises. Bulgarian split squats, reverse lunges, walking lunges are all great exercises to load up and get strong in. Use straps to hold heavy dumbbells, use hand support if you struggle with stability but just go heavy. You will be surprised how strong you are on one leg once you start loading these exercises up.
