When you contemplate timber harvest many questions come to mind. In this video we hope to answer most of the frequent questions we are asked and show you how our A.M. Logging team is the right partnership for you. In 2007 A.M. Logging was formed when Mark Byler and Andrew Miller had a conversation on the tailgate of a pickup truck. While our methods and equipment have changed, our dedication to detail and excellence remains unchanged.

So how does this start for you? It starts with a conversation about the goals for your forest land. When a harvest plan has been negotiated, a contract is drafted and signed. This contract lays out the details of the harvest and gives the land owner a clear picture of the project including payment schedules.

Our forest technician begins the layout, marking the roads, landings, and timber. Our construction service team begins. The roads and landing work commence. This often occurs several months prior to the actual harvest allowing our work to be completed with less environmental impact.

Then the feller/buncher starts its work.Trees are harvested and staged for processing. This can occur several days or weeks in advance of the actual processing and shipping.

Skidders are here now. Bunches are pulled to the landing. The processing equipment arrives on the landing, also known as the deck. The processing begins.

A nearly constant stream of trucks start hauling the various products to the different mills we supply until the last log and chip is shipped.

The construction service team returns. Reclamation begins.

Then one day, all is quiet again.
