Headstart: Maritime law expert Jay Batongbacal on Thursday, February 12, slammed Senator Rodante Marcoleta over his statement suggesting that the Philippines should “give up” the Kalayaan Island Group.
Batongbacal urged Marcoleta to apologize to Filipinos over his remark, stressing that he should be careful with his statements as these could impose very dangerous implications on the country’s position and credibility before the international community.
