ITB Berlin 2024 Opening Press Conference
Insights and developments at the forefront of the global travel industry.
ITB Berlin 2024's opening press conference set the stage for what promises to be an engaging and insightful event. ITB Berlin, which is taking place from 5 to 7 March 2024 on the Berliner Exhibition Grounds, reports excellent bookings for a total of 150,000 square metres, equivalent to over 90 per cent of the display area. At 87 per cent, international participation in the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show is at a record high.
Dr. Mario Tobias, CEO of Messe Berlin, presented the highlights at ITB Berlin 2024.
H.E. Azzan bin Qassim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of Tourism of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of Oman, offered an insight into the Host Country Oman.
Charuta Fadnis, senior vice president, Research and Product Strategy at Phocuswright, highlighted the growth taking place in the global travel industry despite economic challenges, and how AI is changing the industry and how companies are embracing it.
-Under the heading “Challenging times – but the Germans´ passion for travel prevails”, Norbert Fiebig, president of the German Travel Association (DRV), took a look at the latest travel trends and the economic prospects for the German travel industry in 2024.
