In this Video I walk you through how i made bowties for the first time. bowties are used in woodworking to stablize a crack or some other flaw in a piece of wood. in this instance, the bowties were used to make sure that the board would not continue to crack over time. I cut the bowties out of a piece of maple, and then traced them out onto the board with a very very sharp pencil. After that, I routed out the spaces for them using my router with a keyhole bit. from there, i cleaned up the edges with a chisel, and glued the bowties in place.
the following is for the sake of video relevance, so that hopefully youtube will show this video to more people or something like that.
