🌟Features: The site is the former Hanwang Palace of the Ming Dynasty, the Governor-General's Office of Liangjiang during the Qing Dynasty, and the Heavenly King's Palace of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. In 1912, it became the Provisional Presidential Palace of the Republic of China, where Sun Yat-sen was sworn in as the Provisional President of the Republic of China. From 1927 to 1937 and from 1945 to 1948, it served as the office of the President of the Republic of China from May 1948 to April 1949. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it served as the office of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and other units until the 1980s. In March 2003, it was converted into the Nanjing Museum of Modern Chinese History.
