Corsa D Coolant Leak Fix – Easy DIY Water Flange Replacement

My son came home upset thinking something was seriously wrong with his car, a 2013 Vauxhall Corsa D 1.4 petrol. The earliest slot we could get at our local garage was over a week away, so I decided to investigate the issue myself. This was also a great way for me and my son to spend some time together on a little project.

🔍 After checking it over, I found the problem was actually related to the coolant system not the engine itself. I could see a red sort of paste that had been building up around the coolant flange which indicated that there had been a coolant leak for a little while. I checked under the oil cap and the dip stick and couldn't see any sign of contamination in the oil from any coolant so I was happy to take this job on based on it being a broken coolant flange causing the issue.
