1. SOUNDBITE (French) Tony Estanguet, French Olympic Champion and President of the Paris 2024 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games:
"France decided to bid for the Games in the aftermath of attacks, so in a context of significant threat, in a context of maximum security, and so all the security measures that were implemented for these Paris Games were at the maximum level. So, there is an unprecedented security operation. France has never deployed so many resources for security before. I have confidence in the law enforcement forces in our country to secure these Games."

"It is not for me to comment on this strike notice during the Games. I wish for social dialogue. We have always wished for it and from our point of view, it has been rather effective until now. Then, we'll see what happens during the Games. I hope solutions can be found regarding the demands of everyone involved."

3. SOUNDBITE (English) Tony Estanguet, French Olympic Champion and President of the Paris 2024 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games:
"Yeah, the public authorities decided to reinforce all the means to guarantee the safety of the games, said that there will be more cameras in the city. They decided also not to use the recognition, facial recognition of those cameras because it's not legal. And, they decided not to use this evolution. So, again, it's not my role to have a say on this kind of a decision but it's a good information that there will be an unprecedented system in terms of safety and security for the games."
