The Chimney Effect (also known as the Stack Effect), or why you can have an open door to a wood stove without smoke coming out of that door. Due to the hot, less dense gasses leaving the fire rising up the chimney that creates a suction drawing air into the firebox.
A video I put together through some observations I made relating to our wood stoves. Not made in the most cohesive way, all the thoughts I had were not in my head when I started filming.
