On October 14, 2017, an annual excursion took place on the Reading, Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad.
This trip, dubbed the Fall Foliage Railfan Special operated from the new Reading Outer Station to Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania behind an engine that many people refer to as the "Four and a Quarter", ex. Gulf, Mobile and Northern 4-6-2 #425.
Join Georgian Rail Videos as we ride behind the 425 in the railroad's open air gondola north from Reading to Jim Thorpe, then chase the return trip. Also seen is an appearance by the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway's "Hometown High Bridge Excursion", powered by a pair of the railroads GP39RN locomotives.
