Cannabis Disease 101

Описание: General knowledge of plant pathology is critical for managing disease. This quick overview describes some major types of plant pathogens and conditions for infection and disease development. The video also includes some general on-site diagnostic tips, including how to take notes and gather important information for diagnostics.

Cannabis is susceptible to several diseases including anthracnose, Bipolaris leaf spot, Botrytis gray mold, Cercospora leaf spot, Fusarium head blight, Fusarium wilt, powdery mildew, Pythium root rot, Rhizoctonia root rot, Septoria leaf spot, Southern blight, and Web blight.

Dr. Nicole Gauthier is an Extension professor at the University of Kentucky, Department of Plant Pathology. Her focus is disease management for specialty crops, including hemp. Additional resources can be found at:
