Описание: First Cast of the day with the Alabama rig ends up getting eaten by the biggest bass ever caught on an Alabama rig! As I'm engaging the reel to start my retrieve, I can feel one, then two sand bass eat my Biwaa TailGunR Swimbaits and then THUMP as this California Giant Black Seabass eats the entire thing! 25 minutes of battle and one of the biggest black seabass I've ever seen is boat side. We quickly remove the Defiant Jighead that was buried into the roof of its cavernous mouth and it kicks back down to the bottom as we were fishing in about 80 feet so there was not much problem for it to get back down.

In California, the take of giant (black) sea bass (Stereolepis gigas) is strictly prohibited in state waters, and any fish caught incidentally must be immediately returned to the water. They are a protected species, and it is illegal to target, spear, or retain them.

The giant sea bass (Stereolepis gigas), often called the California black sea bass, is a massive, critically endangered marine fish inhabiting rocky reefs and kelp forests from Northern California to Baja. As the largest nearshore bony fish in California, they can reach 563 pounds and 7 feet in length. They are protected in CA since 1982.
