I got lucky and got a PlayStation 5 in February of this year but the custom SSD storage is very laughable. Thankfully, Sony released a system software beta in early August that finally lets PS5 owners make use of the expansion slot on the console. In this video, I show you what happens after you install your compatible M.2 SSD and power on the system. Disclaimer: This is not a tutorial as I will leave a link to a YouTube video that does a great job in explaining the installation process. I also will have links for the suggested and compatible M.2 SSDs.
