Community Conference Series: Maternal Health and Reproductive Justice

Описание: We must advocate for maternal health and reproductive justice each day and talk about the ways Black and brown women are disproportionately impacted by injustices impacting their health and the health of their families.
It is a devastating mark of intersectional oppression that Black women are more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes, and it is deeply concerning and alarming that Black women, and all women, regularly face threats to their rights to family planning, which is integral to their empowerment, quality of life, and economic stability.
I am proud to announce that this month’s Community Conference Series discussion will be about Black Maternal Health and Reproductive Justice. Join us on March 31st for this urgent discussion on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Zoom. Zoom call-in information will be shared soon.

About the Community Conference Series
Every last Thursday of the month at 7 pm, Assembly Member Anderson hosts a virtual Community Conference where he leads a public discussion about urgently important issues affecting our community. The conference is live-streamed on his Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter pages and typically features a guest panel of legislators, advocates, and subject matter experts weighing in on a particular topic.
Our goal with each conference is to educate & empower our community on state policy matters, provide local resources, data, support & engage the community at large.
