Before entering behind the barbed wire fences and past the gun towers deep inside Pendleton Correctional Facility to the prison chapel, 40+ men from multiple different churches/denominations are called/led by the Holy Spirit to meet together in Unity for inside prison Kairos team formation & training sessions.

To eye witness exactly how the Holy Spirit manages to do all of this is incredible and an amazing blessing to be apart of. And the best hasn't even happened yet - the weekend inside prison is still to come!

Prior to the inside weekend in prison we meet on several Saturdays like this one in the video at various different host churches who permit us to conduct our training sessions. Through a series of engaging speaker talks and individual and joint team-building times of devotion, bonds are established in brotherly love, and though from many different backgrounds, each become united in one mission to share the Agape Love of God in Christ with those who are incarcerated for many years to come.

Over the course of several weeks we also unite to hand make and bake 3,000 dozen chocolate chip Kairos cookies. An army of outside volunteers from various churches and volunteer families and friends step in to help!

We hand deliver a dozen homemade cookies to all the prisoners in the prison. Every single batch of these cookies is not made without first being prayed over and then delivered in person with the love of Jesus Christ.

Incidentally, I requested our team's worship leader to lead us and the prisoners in singing the song in this video by MercyMe inside our 3 day weekend in the Fall of 2018, so I'm glad we practiced first. :) To hear the inmates singing this song and to see glimpses of hope and light in their eyes while they sing the lyrics ... I'll never be able to forget it. God is so so so so very Good!
