PCG REPORTS: PCG accords traditional Champagne Flight Ceremony in honor of CG Admiral Laroya

Описание: WATCH: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Aviation Force led by CG Commodore Philipps Y Soria accorded a TRADITIONAL CHAMPAGNE FLIGHT CEREMONY in honor of the 28th PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Leopoldo V Laroya who formally retired after more than 38 years of public service yesterday, 10 February 2022.

The said ceremony was held at the Department of Transportation - Philippines (DOTr) Hangar in Pasay City on 07 February 2022.

Traditionally, the PCG holds champagne flight ceremony to Coast Guard Aviators who are leaving the service for their last flight. A training aircraft is usually used to remind Aviators how they started their flying career. After conducting a series of maneuvers, a traditional champagne toast and water dunking are rendered to the Honorees.

CG Admiral Laroya is a holder of Honorary Command Pilot Rating.
