Buggy finally makes it to the Space Coast! Checking out SpaceX port, Ron Jon’s, Kennedy Space Center

Took a little drive today about 60 miles East of Orlando to the Space Coast…which is the Titusville, Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach areas. Stopped at the port and saw one of the barges that SpaceX lands their boosters on. This one didn’t have a booster on it unfortunately but I could see the cranes behind it that would lift it off when it comes back from sea. There were two big cruise ships docked as well. Then drove South a couple of miles to Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach to check things out. Afterwards headed back North a bit to the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex. I didn’t go in this time but will return for the tour someday.
And then to cap the day off, watched a rocket launch at 9:52pm from the backyard!
Very fun day, tons of wind noise in the Buggy (working on a solution) so left in what I could, and like usual, laid down some background music during driving periods! Not one to talk every second of the video…but rather let Florida’s scenery do the narrating.
